"Diamond In The Rough": 15.1hh, 6 Year Old Percheron x QH ("American Warmblood") .. This goofball does not need a riding arena, he needs an agent, some lights, camera and action! This is personality plus, plus, plus! We brought Gibson in at the end of September 2007. He had no manners, no training and was drastically underweight. Covered in summer sores and displaying all other issues from a horse that is in the "wrong hands". The previous owner was a child who could not afford the maintenance of the horse, nor the board. When I picked him up, Gibson had not been fed for 10 days .. consequently he let himself and all other horses out of the barn, then feasted on a bag of grain and a bale of hay. This is Gibson. Now ready to be adopted to the PERFECT family. Still a little green and will give anything a try! Great heart, great mind and a fun, happy, affectionate chap who is truly like a huge lab! He does not really care for jumping .. but easily cleared a 5' fence when playing in the pasture ... although he looks like a super hunter. Expressive movements when he is working correctly. Adores trail riding. Eventually will be an awesome family horse. No horse can be guaranteed ''bombproof'', but this horse is as close as you can get. At only 6 years old, he will be indispensable by the time he has all of his mileage. A huge character who would likely excel as a trick horse, parade horse or even drill team. Anything that involves lots of attention, a variety of work and lots of fun is just what he needs. He has popped over some cavalettis, he has been given some basic dressage training and is schooling at training level right now. Nothing lights his fire more than trail riding though ... he can tend to put on the brakes when working on the schooling arena, but needs no encouragement on a trail. He has never bucked with me, he occasionally will throw a little flying change into the canter and switch out his leads. This should disappear as his training continues. He has definitely never taken off or bolted with me. I have always trail ridden him alone - and whilst he enjoys a good gallop, he has always stayed with me. A small half-halt will bring him right back. We have had a pack of dogs run out to him, several circling his feet and barking aggressively, a smaller dog actually tried to bite his ankles. Gibson just stopped dead and waited for me to show him what to do. I asked him to go forward and although he was anxious, he obediently did as I asked him. Typically, if he is startled, he will stop and have a good stare - I will ask him to move forward and he has always obeyed. The cutest expression you have ever seen - he is a heart-stealer and a barn favorite. He is very prone to summer sores - so he needs additional care with fly control. Stands for clip, bathing, grooming and farrier. He is very forward going and loves to trot and canter (but not take off). Definitely not a fast horse. Super comfortable due to his width. Always looks scruffy and like he is up to mischief. That is his personality!! Surprisingly expressive movements. I truly adore this horse - he is fun and he needs to be in a family environment rather than a training and rehabilitation facility. He is also very smart .. but has some of that draft horse stubborness, too. He reminds me of a pony with his mentality -- he can be exasperating when he is wanting to play games, but he has a way to win you over with his cute looks, charm and affection. No bite or kick in this chap. He is a dominant personality in the pasture. This is a horse that will be quiet enough and strong enough for Dad, fun and forward for Mom, attentive and patient enough for kids! Although, he is still young and this must be taken into consideration - he will need more mileage before he is absolutely dead-broke. Ready to finish your way. He will only go to an approved home that will adore his cheeky personality and offer him a loving, caring and permanent home. Videos and photos available to serious adopters only. Very, very reluctant decision to move him on, and this is due to no fault of his own. He is up to date with vaccinations and has negative coggins, farrier, dental and worming. Can transport within state of Florida. $1.75/Mile. Gibson will be adopted out with contract that states if the relationship with the horse does not work out, the horse will be returned to Horses in Harmony. Our horses welfare will remain paramount for the rest of their years. For more pictures and video, contact DEVON. **Update: Due to an influx of rescue horses, we have drastically reduced Gibson's adoption fee for a faster re-homing process. The proceeds from his adoption will go directly toward medical, feed and farrier bills for the rescue horses that have just been brought
Adoption Fee: Reduced From $5,000 ... now only $3500
(Covers all his training, medical, rehabilitation, farrier etc)
New Foster Parent will get 6 FREE Riding Lessons on Gibson at Horses in Harmony, if desired.

"Gibson Truck World's Daddy's Girl" 15.3hh Thoroughbred x Morgan mare, liver chestnut. 4 Years Old. We are not totally sure what happened to this girl - she was taken from another rescue facility. She was an absolute nervous wreck - rearing up if we tried to groom, bathe or even lead her into a stall. The transporter who brought her to our facility must have put some object in her mouth to bully her into the trailer - however, that object punctured right through her cheek and she ended up under veterinary care for this injury. Today, you would not even guess that Tuesday even had a single issue - she is a living doll. A beautiful horse who is very dainty and refined. Looks to die for and a natural jump - this one is going to be an awesome dressage, hunter or show jumper in the next phase of her career. She is definitely a ''ladies'' horse. Extremely elegant. This beauty needs an Intermediate to Advanced rider (jumping or dressage) to truly shine. Highly intelligent, sensitive to the aids and very willing to please. Fast, careful and bold. Because of the natural jumping talent this girl, she must be started out correctly, quietly and gently. Only a loving, experienced home will be considered for this super mare. We plan to breed her to Bente D - a world class friesian stallion in May 2008. Once in foal, Tuesday will be kept with Horses in Harmony until her foal is weaned.. Stay tuned for updated videos and photos of this special girl. In addition to working under saddle on a regular basis, we have been consistently working on her ground manners and desensitization. She stands quietly for bathing, grooming, farrier and vet. She does not like to be x-tied, but on a loose lead rope tied under her halter - she is just fine. She has walked on heavy duty tarp, stood next to a truck with the diesel engine running, music blaring and horn blasting - it did not phase her. We waved objects in her face and rustled plastic bags all over her - no problem. She will take the hose from you and hold it in her mouth to drink!! A huge personality on this girl. She is boss mare in the pasture. She has also been trained to come straight from the pasture into her stall without requiring a lead rope. Tuesday is probably one of the fastest horses I have ever seen (and I have several racing thoroughbreds on my farm). She would definitely excel in x-country or eventing, maybe barrel racing or jumping that requires speed and accuracy. When this beauty has the mileage, she will be priceless! If you are looking for a super, sweet, affectionate, beautiful and talented mare to finish in your discipline, then Tuesday is your girl. Extremely easy to catch - just call her name and she comes straight to the gate. She is up to date on all vaccinations with negative coggins, farrier, dental and worming. Can transport within state of Florida. $1.75/Mile Tuesday will be adopted out with a contract that states if the relationship with the horse does not work out, Tuesday will be returned to Horses in Harmony. Our horses welfare will remain paramount for the rest of their years. Serious Adopters, Please Email Me for More Photos and Video.
